The Ambassadors selected for 2026 are Esme, Lily and Vivien, all of whom attend local Middle Schools. The judges Farzana, Sharon and Lauren commented “The competition was very strong, and it was difficult to select just three youngsters to be the first Carnival Ambassadors. We would encourage those not selected to enter again in 2027 if they are still in the age range.”

This selection marks a massive historical shift for the Leighton-Linslade Carnival, moving completely away from traditional "Royalty" (Princes and Princesses) after over a century of tradition to focus on community-minded "Ambassadors".

The competition was open to local young people in school years 4 through 8 who either live in or attend school across Leighton-Linslade.

Judges looked for local students exhibiting great personality, community spirit, and uniqueness rather than traditional Court expectations.

The chosen Ambassadors will act as local VIPs throughout their 12-month reign. Their key responsibilities include:

·       The Carnival Procession: Leading the entire procession on the main Carnival float on Saturday, 11th July 2026.
