Early detection remains one of the most effective ways to save lives, and this weekend Bedfordshire Freemasons are stepping forward to help local men take a simple, proactive step towards protecting their health.

On Saturday 11 July, men aged 40 and over are invited to attend a special community health event at The Gables Hall, 132 Wing Road, Leighton Buzzard (LU7 2NN), where FREE PSA blood tests will be offered throughout the day from 10:30 to 14:00.

The PSA test is a quick, straightforward blood test that can provide early insight into prostate health and highlight whether further medical advice may be needed.

To make the event as accessible as possible, there is free parking for up to 60 cars, ensuring easy arrival for all attendees. Free refreshments will also be available, creating a welcoming environment for men and their families as they take part in this important health initiative.

Booking a test is simple — attendees can secure their slot by scanning the QR code on the event poster.

The process takes only a moment, and the peace of mind it offers can be invaluable.

This initiative not only supports men in looking after their own wellbeing, but also provides reassurance for the family and friends who care deeply about them.

Bedfordshire Freemasons have long supported community health and wellbeing, and this event reflects their ongoing commitment to helping local residents access vital early‑detection opportunities. With prostate cancer continuing to affect so many men across the country, this free testing day offers a practical, local way to take action.A small step, a simple test — and potentially a life‑changing difference.
