Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club: Image of the year competitions
The finale of the Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club’s 2025-26 season, our annual Print and Digital Image of the Year competitions, took place on Wednesday June 17. Members were invited to submit their best work of the season.

Our independent judge for the competition was Mark Buckley-Sharp ARPS CPAGB HonPAGB, a current and/or past holder of numerous positions with NWFed, CACC, PAGB, RPS, the British Computer Society, and the (now ceased) Harrow Camera Club.
The trophy for the Print of Year was won by David Manning ARPS with an intriguingly creative rendition of a landscape, “The Happy Rambler”. Tricia Meers LRPS was second and Wendy Taylor LRPS was third.

The trophy for the Digital Image of the Year was won by Sandie Rawlings with a dark and atmospheric monochrome depiction of “The Dark Tunnel”. John Curd was second and Paul Needham was third.
These competitions mark the end of our season. The new 2026-27 season will start on Wednesday September 16. In the meantime, we will doubtless have some interesting days out to provide creative opportunities for our members and continue to have photographic fun!
We are always keen to share our passion for photography and we provide a warm welcome for new members at our meetings at Greenleas School on Derwent Road. We run a varied programme of activities for photographers of all levels. See our website at lbpc.org.uk for details and join us soon to unleash your own creativity.
