Leighton Buzzard based blues singer and songwriter Rich Miller is performing solo at The Crooked Crow Bar’s monthly ‘Candlelight Blues Session’ on Thursday 9th April.

Rich is getting quite a following these days, known for his phenomenal slide guitar playing and a voice said to be similar to Chris Rea. Rich quite often teams up with friend Nick Beggs (on bass) to play and they produced an album ‘Live at Upton’ which was recorded at the Upton Blues Festival last year. The album was awarded ‘album of the week’ on Blues Radio UK at the start of this month.
In addition to performing at Upton, Rich also plays at festivals around the country including Swanage Blues Festival last autumn.
Rich has quite a songbook of original compositions and he loves to play these on his resonator guitar. His finger picking in Delta Blues style really impresses and leaves audiences wanting more. ‘When he popped into the Crooked Crow Bar’s ‘Mic Drop’ session in March to do a few numbers he really wowed and we just knew we had to get him back’!
The Candlelight sessions are seated and wine and cheeseboard deals are available. Bookings can be made through the website at www.crookedcrowbar.com/event-details/candlelight-sessions-11
