Rotary & Rushmere Park Academy have fun at Whipsnade

Leighton Linslade Rotary Club recently took 33 year 2 children from The Rushmere Park Academy on a day out to Whipsnade Zoo as part of the Rotary Children’s Fun Day 2026. This annual event in partnership with Kids in Mind sees 25,000 children go on over 200 days out across the country, supported by Rotary volunteers.

A Rotary spokesperson said: “One of the highlights of the Rotary year is the annual event in partnership with Kids in Mind and the children from Rushmere Park Academy had a great day out despite the wind, rain and hail trying its best to dampen their spirits. Whipsnade remains a fantastic place for people of all ages and who can resist baby elephants and rhinos although on this trip the children seemed captivated by the Lions“
