In existence for 40 years, the NHBC’s Pride in the Job scheme is dedicated to recognising the industry’s very best performers and is a prestigious accolade that site managers aspire to achieve.

To receive an award, site managers must score highly in all areas of build and site management including quality of workmanship, technical expertise, health and safety and leadership.

Judges look for meticulous attention to detail and the special qualities and attributes that set quality, award-winning site managers apart from the rest.

Alan has worked for Redrow Homes for 13 years, starting as a labourer before working his way up the ranks, winning his first Pride in the Job Quality Award for his work as site manager in 2016. He started working at Leestone Park in January 2019, returning to site management after 18 months as area construction manager.

Suzanne Irons, Sales Director for Redrow Homes South Midlands, said: “Alan’s passion and determination is reflected in every home built at our Leestone Park development, and we’re thrilled that his hard work has been recognised by the NHBC.

“The Pride in the Job Award is something all site managers want to win, so to receive two really is a wonderful achievement and thoroughly deserved – well done Alan!”

Alan said: “Winning this award, especially for the second time, is a fantastic achievement. I started from scratch here at Leestone Park, so it’s an amazing feeling to see new family homes being completed on a regular basis, and how far the development has already come.

“There’s nothing quite like the feeling of a job well done every time we hand over a home which surpasses the customer’s expectations.

"This isn’t just an individual award to me; it’s a true testament to the whole team’s hard work and dedication. I’d like to thank them all for their continued support over the past year and a half.”
