'Honour sacrifices for freedom': Leighton-Linslade's Remembrance Sunday services
The people of Leighton-Linslade are invited to honour "all who have served and sacrificed for our freedom" on Remembrance Sunday (November 8).
The parade of veterans and uniformed organisations will leave Lake Street at around 10.35am, arriving in Church Square for the Act of Commemoration, which will begin at 10.55am. A service will follow in All Saints Church, offering "a time for reflection and remembrance".

Later in the day, the Linslade Act of Remembrance will take place at around 12.45pm in the Garden of Remembrance, Mentmore Road.
Major (Retd) Mike Lovell, chair of the Leighton Buzzard Royal British Legion Branch, said: “Having served in the army, Remembrance has always held great personal significance for me.
"As branch chair, it's been wonderful to meet so many local people while collecting for this year's Poppy Appeal and witness the generosity of our community first-hand.
"Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity for us all to come together, honour those who gave their lives and recognise the service and sacrifices of our armed forces and their families.
"I'd encourage everyone, young and old, to join us in Church Square on Sunday, and show that Leighton Buzzard remembers."
Leighton-Linslade Town Council stated: "As Armistice Day (November 11) approaches, we take time to honour all who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.
"From the First World War to the present day, their bravery, courage and dedication continue to inspire us all."
You can watch last year's services, and those from previous years, on the town council website.
The council concluded: "We are honoured to once again partner with the Royal British Legion (Leighton Buzzard Branch) and our local churches to commemorate the fallen.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who support these commemorations — including representatives from the Royal British Legion, local organisations, and members of the public."
