Aviation minister on flying visit

AVIATION minister Theresa Villiers paid a flying visit to Luton Airport this week to see its facilities.

She was also on hand to help celebrate Wizz Air’s 10 millionth passenger.

She said: “It’s encouraging to see how successful Luton has become.

“It’s playing an increasingly important role between London and the south east, as well as opening up new markets around the world to the local economy and providing employment for thousands of people.”

Airport boss Glyn Jones said he was delighted the minister was able to share Wizz Air’s achievements.
