Fireworks warning as Bedfordshire in drought with 'very high' wildfire risk
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) is warning people to "think twice" before setting off fireworks this summer.
With the county in drought – and risk of wildfire very high – even a small spark could have serious consequences.

A BFRS spokesman, said: "Please avoid setting off fireworks during this period to help reduce the risk of accidental fires and protect our communities, countryside and wildlife.
"Thank you for doing your part to keep Bedfordshire safe."
If you spot a fire, please call 999 immediately.
