A car, caravan and disused trailer were destroyed in a fire at a Billington travellers' site this week.

A Beds Police spokesman said: "At just before 2pm on Monday, March 30, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue were called to report of a caravan fire on Gypsy Lane, Little Billington.
"Four crews attended, along with one water carrier and specialist unit.

Hide Ad"The fire involved two static caravans and one car, 50 metres of fencing, a disused trailer and five gas cylinders.
"The car, one caravan and a disused trailer were 100% destroyed by fire, but crews prevented further damage to another caravan, which was only 10% damaged.
"The fire was believed to have been accidental and all persons were accounted for."
