New 'Yellow Booket' edition will help over 55s in Leighton-Linslade
A new Yellow Booklet for over 55s in Leighton-Linslade has been published.
An updated edition of ‘Information for Older People: Leighton-Linslade Area’ – affectionately known as the Yellow Booklet – will be available to pick up at Linslade Canal Festival on Saturday (July 25) and distributed throughout the town by volunteers over the coming weeks.

The extensive document is published every two years and provides the contact details of health services, transport services, clubs and societies, voluntary opportunities, and much more.
Rosemarie Gunter, member of Bassett Road PPG group said: "We will be sharing a stall with the Leighton Buzzard Voluntary Patient Transport, so come along, have a chat and pick up your copy while you are there.
"This booklet is important to so many people, giving them lots of valuable information at their fingertips and edition five has been eagerly awaited by our community."
Copies will be available at all three surgeries in the town, as well as the White House, the library, churches, chemists, the Chatty Café and many other public venues.
Online versions can be viewed on the town council, Bassett Road Surgery, Leighton Road Surgery and Salisbury House websites.
Rosemarie added: "Our thanks go to Leighton-Linslade Town Council and their 55 Up project for sponsoring this publication, to members of the three PPGs who have worked tirelessly on this project for the past three months – checking, typesetting, proof reading, and soon to be delivering – and a special mention goes to Tricia Lunt from Leighton Buzzard Art Society who drew our cover picture for us."
