Residents’ delight as bus shelters installed on Leighton Buzzard’s West Street
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Due to the pedestrianisation of the high street, two new stops were created on West Street, but Councillor Victoria Harvey claimed there had been a delay in communications between Central Beds Council and the town council about who was providing the shelters, which were not in place by rainy October.

Hide AdHowever, she claims that town council leader Steve Jones “stepped in”, his actions leading to the town council paying for the shelters.
The shelters were installed in November.
