University to hold open evening

THE University of Bedfordshire will host its first postgraduate study open evenings of 2012 at the Luton campus on Tuesday.

Scholarships worth up to 50 per cent of tuition fees are now available on selected courses, subject to conditions. These have been introduced to help prospective students, whether they want to improve their employability, learn new skills or add to existing qualifications.

Postgraduate teaching currently takes place at campuses in Luton and Bedford and the University is investing £20m in a brand new Postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development Centre in Luton, on track to open in 2013.

Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Ashraf Jawaid said: “Work is on schedule and we are looking forward to seeing this fantastic building take shape.”

The new Postgraduate Centre will become one of the most advanced centres of its kind in the country, providing study opportunities for full-time graduates and continuing professional development training on a part-time basis for businesses and individuals in the area.

The opening evening takes place from 5pm until 7.30pm. Prospective students can book a place at: uob.cc/pgflier.
