As an author Paolo has been quite a prolific writer with books including a biography of ‘The Jam’ called The Jam: A Beat Concerto and which was published in 1983 following their break up. Other publications include a couple of books on ‘Oasis’, ‘Love me do’ reflecting on moments in the career of ‘The Beatles, The Small Faces, a story of the mod band and a book about Paul Weller. His book ‘Bowie’ was music book of the year in 2013. He also penned a book in 2011 on what in his opinion were the 50 moments that changed music!

He was born in Woking in 1958 and grew up in a local children’s home. His book from 2014 ‘But We All Shine On’ covers this period of his life and the children who shared his time in the home and learning about ‘loyalty and non-discrimination’.

Paolo latterly moved on from books to script writing and thereby hangs another chapter of his story!

Interviewer Gary Ison said: "Many will not have heard of Paolo, but his story is not about him, but about the lives of the mavericks, the great musicians he met when writing his books. I think we’re in for quite an educational and fun afternoon!"

Tickets for the event cost just £6 and they are available in person at the GAZZA Records Megastore in Bell Alley, Leighton Buzzard Thursday to Saturday (open 10am – 4pm) or on DICE here: https://link.dice.fm/O65dbaa4e956

A bar will be available during the event (over 18s only).
