Leighton 10K 2026: Leighton Fun Runners' popular race returns in September

The Leighton Fun Runners annual 10K race returns to Pages Park on 6 September 2026.

The popular race takes in a variety of roads and paths around Leighton Buzzard, starting and finishing in the park. The 2026 event will be fundraising for Leighton Fun Runners (LFR) chosen charity, Leighton Buzzard Mencap.

LFR's fundraiser Daisy Axtell-Powell says: 'We’re proud to support Leighton Buzzard Mencap this year. Funds raised through the Leighton 10k will stay right here in our community, helping support local people with a learning disability through clubs, activities, outings and opportunities that reduce isolation, build confidence and create lasting friendships.'

2026 also sees the race under new directorship, with Annis Turner-Reed taking over the organisation of the event for the first time. 'The Leighton 10K promises to be a fantastic event this year, and we look forward to welcoming runners from the local area and further afield. Highlights of the course include local trails, scenic paths and Tiddenfoot pit.

'We'll also have an energetic warm-up, pacers to help you get the finish time you are after and post-race masseurs to help you recover. Best of all, no LFR event would be complete without cake, which finishers will get to enjoy afterwards!'

Annis also wants to thank local residents for their understanding on the day, as runners will be crossing roads and using paths. There will be fully trained marshalls in place to assist, who will be there to make sure the event goes off smoothly and safely. Thanks go to sponsors Everyone Active for helping make the day possible.

Online entries will be available until the day, if it is not sold out in advance. https://my.raceresult.com/364482/registration
