Lantern Parade & Santa promise special Christmas Eve in Leighton Buzzard
The Christmas Carols in Leighton Buzzard High St promise to be extra special this year with the event seeing a Lantern Parade to get the festivities underway before Santa makes his traditional appearance before embarking on his worldwide travels
Planning for this year’s traditional Christmas Eve Carols in Leighton Buzzard High St have been boosted by some great additions, most notably a Lantern Parade that will leave All Saints Church at 6:15pm and which will process down the High St prior to the start of the carol singing.
Town Mayor David Bligh will be carrying one of the lanterns and everyone in Rotary is excited to see how this inaugural parade develops. Rotary have also engaged with some exciting IT that will enable participants to view the traditional carol sheet on their phone, and of course Santa will make his usual appearance before embarking on his worldwide travels.
If you have never experienced this Leighton Buzzard tradition why not make 2025 the year you start your Christmas with Carols, Lanterns and of course Santa all in the High St and free to attend.
The Lantern Parade starts at 6:15pm. Carols will commence at 7pm and Santa will make his appearance before the conclusion of the event at 8pm.
