On Wednesday December 10 Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club held their third internal competition of the 2025-26 season.

This was an “open” competition (that is, with no set subject) for prints and projected digital images.

Our independent judge for the competition was professional photographer Martin Patten DPAGB BPE5* EFIAP QPSA. He is President of Watford Camera Club and a past Chairman of the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs.

Martin praised the quality of the images and enjoyed the great variety of different styles and genres. These included wildlife (birds, insects, mammals, frogs) architecture, portraiture, seascape, landscape (including intimate landscape), street/candid, composite, creative, still life, colour, and monochrome.
