Stowe School stages Puccini opera

Puccini's popular La Boheme is startlingly re imagined in Arcadian Opera's first ever production in the Roxborough Hall at Stowe School near Buckingham.

The struggling bohemians of 19th century Paris are transported to the fringes of the Bloomsbury group in 1930s London.

Sung in English in a new translation, which allows everyone to enjoy the opera without having to tax their knowledge of Italian or read a translation, it has full orchestral accompaniment.

The vibrant score, relating the tale of the passionate and yet complex love between Rodolfo and his Mimi, will be excitingly brought to life by a principal cast of outstanding young professional singers and a talented local chorus.
