Eggs-cellent effort gives Easter boost to children
The annual Easter scooter ride took off from Ollie Vees in Leighton Buzzard town centre at 11.15am on Saturday, March 19.
Bruce Middleweek, of Buzzard Scooter Club, said: “The supermarkets we visited were so generous, donating lots of eggs for the hospital.

Hide Ad“The charity ride went really well, it was a great day, a lot of people came down to support us and about 60 people took part in the scooter ride to the hospital.
“We would like to thank everyone that donated an Easter egg, the children were very grateful.”
The club has so far raised £1,773 to buy TV’s for the children’s wards at the hospital, with an anticipated £300 still to come.
Donations were from: SJ Pierce Transport Leighton Buzzard, Linslade Plumbing, Dillamore Funeral Services, Cherokees Scooter Club, Cedars School Linslade, Mk Tyres Leighton Buzzard, Multitruck Components, BS Trailer Services Leighton, Skyline Roofing Leighton, Tool Monkey Leighton, Magnet & Co, Howdens, members from other surrounding scooter clubs and the general public of Leighton Buzzard.
