Flower shop calls on Bedfordshire artists to send submissions for store showcase
The owner of an independent flower shop is looking for artists from Bedfordshire to send in examples of their work, with the chance to sell their art in her store.
Ruth Baker, who owns Ruth Baker Flowers in Hightown, Luton, has put a out an open call for Bedfordshire-based artists to showcase and sell their work in-store.

The initiative aims to support the county’s creative community by giving artists a platform to display their work.
Ruth said: “I would love to meet and support local artists that would like to sell their art in my shop.
"It could be cards, art work for the walls, pottery or any other craft that is not too big as my shop is quite small but I would love to see what you do. It has to fit with the vibe of the shop.”
Her shop, which opened at the start of December, is full of bright colours, and beautiful flowers and plants, so anything that is submitted needs to match this.
Artists based in Bedfordshire are encouraged to submit examples of their work via email or in person, she said: “Drop me an email [email protected] or pop in for a chat and let’s see what we could do.”
