Police and crime commissioner holds rural crime event at Mead Open Farm
Rural crime is the focus of a conference taking place at a popular visitor attraction in Leighton Buzzard next week.
A Rural Crime Conference, which is being hosted by Bedfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner John Tizard, is taking place at Mead Open Farm in Leighton Buzzard on Thursday February 26 between 11am and 1pm.

The conference will also be attended by Freya Morgan, chair of the Bedfordshire & Huntingdon branch of the National Farmers Union, and a representative from Bedfordshire Police.
It provides the chance for residents to hear updates from the Commissioner, National Farmers Union and the Beds Rural Crime Action Team, as well as ask questions of local leaders and learn about strategies to prevent rural crime.
The event, which is free to attend, is described as ‘a must-attend for anyone passionate about rural communities and safety.’
