Leighton Buzzard public notices: Golf club seeks buggy stores and fuel firm applies for vehicle base
Two separate applications involving developments in Leighton Buzzard are found in the latest public notices, with Leighton Buzzard Golf Club seeking permission for new storage buildings and a fuel company applying to operate a goods vehicle base in the town.
Leighton Buzzard Golf Club has submitted a planning application to Central Bedfordshire Council for the erection of three detached storage buildings to house golf buggies.
The application, submitted by Mr S. Leng on behalf of the golf club, relates to its site at Plantation Road, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 3JF.
A formal notice dated 27 October 2026 has been published under Article 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015.
Anyone wishing to make representations about the application has been invited to write to Central Bedfordshire Council.
Comments should be sent to: Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5TQ. The deadline for representations is 10 November 2026.
Meanwhile, New Era Fuels Ltd, based at River View House, River Way, Harlow, CM20 2EA, is applying for a goods vehicle operator's licence to use a site in Leighton Buzzard as an operating centre.
The proposed operating centre is Plot A, Compton Tankers Ltd, Grovebury Road, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4TS.
The company is seeking permission to operate two goods vehicles and no trailers from the site.
The application has prompted a notice inviting representations from owners or occupiers of nearby land, including buildings, who believe their use or enjoyment of their property could be affected by the proposed operating centre.
Anyone wishing to object or make representations must write to the Traffic Commissioner at: Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE.
Representations must explain the reasons for the concerns and be submitted within 21 days of the publication of the notice.
Anyone making representations must also send a copy to New Era Fuels Ltd at its Harlow address.
