Road closures to watch out for including Leighton Buzzard bypass
Residents are being warned of a series of temporary road and footpath closures.
The road closures have been revealed in the latest public notices for the area – with a bypass closure next month for micro-asphalt patching works.

The section of the bypass between Wing Road and Billington Road is set to be closed from November 9 to November 24, 2026, between 9am and 3.30pm. The diversion route will use the A4146, A5 and A505, in both directions.
Rothschild Road in Linslade will be closed from October 26 to October 28, from 8am to 6pm, while carriageway repair work takes place.
A temporary road closure is also planned for Himley Green in Linslade, outside number 87, to allow carriageway repairs. It will run from 9am to 3.30pm on October 29 and 30. The diversion route will run via Derwent Road, Soulbury Road, Southcourt Road and Himley Green, in both directions.
Meanwhile, the footpath outside number 1 Rowley Furrows in Linslade will be closed on October 29 from 8am to 6pm. An alternative pedestrian route will be available via the footways along Knaves Hill, Upper Coombe and Rowley Furrows.
Residents are also being invited to comment on three planning applications.
The first, application CB/26/02650/ADV, is for a double-sided, freestanding illuminated advertising billboard facing Chartmoor Road, at Spinney Park Industrial Estate on Billington Road.
A second application, CB/26/02660/FULL, seeks permission for a two-storey side extension and a single-storey rear extension, alongside changes to the property's front and rear windows and other openings at 18 Lanes End, Heath and Reach, LU7 0AE. The plans also include three new dormer windows on the front elevation. The application affects a conservation area.
The third proposal, CB/26/02770/FULL, is for Byworths House on Vicarage Road, Linslade, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 2LP.
It seeks permission to replace existing timber sash windows and doors with hardwood timber sash windows and doors. The property is also within a conservation area.
Residents can view the applications and submit comments through Central Bedfordshire Council's website at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/planning-register by searching for the application reference.
