The directory was established recently by a local healthcare professional who wants companies to have a platform to promote the services that they are still able to offer, such as takeaways and deliveries.

The founder, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “We have child minders, food delivery companies, artists, electricians - there’s a lot of people that this is obviously impacting and they are just finding out ways to continue operating.

"We need to support local businesses at a time like this."

>Yirrell Butchers of Old Road informed the LBO that they are offering a home delivery service.

Staff members can drive to customers’ houses, ring the bell, and leave deliveries outside. Payment can be taken online or over the phone. People are asked to email their order over before paying or call the butchers on 01525 373489.

They also have access to cheese via the Abbey Cheese company. Deliveries to Leighton-Linslade and its surrounding areas are free.
