Four candidates are vying for a seat on Leighton-Linslade Town Council tomorrow, with a by-election taking place in St George’s Ward on the same day as the Beds PCC election.

The by-election has been caused by the resignation of the previous Conservative councillor for the ward and postponed from last year.

The vote takes place on May 6 at the Church Hall of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Beaudesert.

The by-election will bring the number of councillors back up to 21

The candidates standing are Pat Carberry (Labour), Nigel Carnell (Liberal Democrat), Adam Fahn (Conservative) and Antonio Vitiello (English Democrats).

The new councillor once elected will bring the town council back up to its full quota of 21 members.

Currently at the White House there are 13 Conservative councillors, four Liberal Democrats, two Independents and one Labour.
