Bray ready to play in new kit

Preparations for the new cricket season are in full swing at Eaton Bray, with plenty of good news on and off the pitch over the winter.

The new campaign gets underway on Saturday April 30, but members have already been at Rye Gardens preparing their pitch for the visit of reigning Four Counties Division 1 champions North Crawley.

And the team will be doing it in all new kits this season too, sponsored by Meadow Marquees.

“Meadow Marquees already have a long-standing working relationship with Eaton Bray Cricket Club so we were only too happy to officially sponsor the club’s new playing kit,” , said Joe Roff, of sponsors Meadow Marquees.

“Let’s hope it’s a successful season!”

It has been a busy pre-season period for Eaton Bray. The club successfully applied for funding via the England and Wales Cricket Trust supported by Waitrose Small Grant Scheme.

The club has put the funds awarded to good use, and putting the money towards the purchase of new pitch covers to protect it from the rain.

>> Eaton Bray Cricket Club is a friendly, community-focused club with a dedicated youth division run by qualified coaches.

The club is always on the lookout for new players young and old to play.
