Anna Marie runs marathon for Hospice at Home

Hospice at Home was overwhelmed when our very own volunteer Anna Marie informed us she wished to run the London Marathon 2026 in aid of our charity.

Anna Marie had joined the charity after her own journey with her father, who unfortunately lost his battle with cancer quite quickly, she realised how important hospice care was at times of need and was very keen to give back.

She ran the marathon on Sunday 26th April 2026, wearing a personalised Hospice at Home charity vest, in a fantastic time and to this date has raised in excess of £1200 for the charity, which is absolutely incredible amount.

Jaquie, our volunteer coordinator, was in London for the race and confirmed even at mile 20 Anna Marie was beaming with no signs of stopping!!

At our recent birthday celebration we were able to show our gratitude and thank Anna Marie properly for this phenominal effort, everyone as Hospice at Home Volunteers are so proud of you and we are honoured to have you as part of the team.
