The Bedford River Festival is the second largest outdoor event of its kind, in the UK, expected to attract more than 250,000 visitors over the two days. Visitors from across the region can enjoy a weekend of fun and entertainment, including countless river activities and displays, multiple live music and performance stages, arts, crafts and sports and family entertainment.

To get everyone straight to the fun, visitors can take advantage of a discount on local bus fares. Stagecoach East is offering 25% off a Bedford Group DayRider on Saturday and Sunday, when you buy via the Stagecoach App. Use the group ticket code: EARVRFESTGROUP25R46V.

Meanwhile, there will also be additional services: on Sunday 19th July, Services 1, 5 and 6 will have extra evening buses with services running up to 9.30pm. Service 9D will run to Hitchin and Stevenage hourly up until 9.30pm. On Saturday 18th there will be more buses on service 9D so visitors can get to and from Stevenage hourly.

David Boden, Commercial Director of Stagecoach East, said: “The Bedford River Festival is one of the great events of the year, attracting visitors from all across our region. We know parking can be both difficult and expensive, so we wanted to make a special effort to support the town and make it quick and easy to get to all the fun.”
