Man arrested and 'large quantity' of Class A drugs seized in Leighton Buzzard
A man has been arrested and a "large quantity" of Class A drugs seized after police spotted a suspicious vehicle in Leighton Buzzard.
The man in his 20s was arrested for possession of a controlled Class A drug with the intent to supply after officers stopped a vehicle on Bassett Road yesterday (October 8).

He also had no driving licence or insurance so the vehicle was seized under the Road Traffic Act.
A member of the Leighton Buzzard Community Policing Team posted to social media: "Following sighting [of] a vehicle that didn’t want to hang around when the driver observed my marked police vehicle, I have located the vehicle a short distance away with the driver still inside.
"Based on information we held, the vehicle and the driver were searched and an estimated quantity in excess of 60 ‘wraps’ of a substance, believed to be Class A drugs were located inside the vehicle."
The man was taken to Luton Police Station.
The officer added: "Whilst the suspicious behaviour of the driver helped, there was information given to us from the public that helped uncover this finding. The information you can give us can often be the missing piece of the puzzle. This is a great find and has taken a large quantity of drugs off of our streets."
