Central Beds Council’s licensing sub committee last month rejected The England Deaf Party proposal for The Deaf Foam Festival to take place on July 8-10 at Stockwell Farm, Leighton Road, with entertainment running through until 4am.

Police and council officials opposed the application which had a “worrying lack of detail” because of fears about noise, disorder and traffic.

The England Deaf Party this week told the LBO that it would be exercising its right of appeal before a Magistrates Court.
