Like the rest of the world, LBDG have been keeping in touch via Zoom, using this online video chat to check in on each other during this challenging time as well as discussing ways to keep their artistic juices flowing.

Following the success of their last staged production, Red Riding Hood at the Leighton Buzzard Theatre, the group decided that they had enough musical talent (ahem!) to put together their very own music video.

Jo Taylor, director of Red Riding Hood and editor of this new video said: “Working on a theatre show, especially one as fun as a pantomime, is a great way to bond and make friends that last a lifetime.

“We didn’t want to lose that bond during this enforced time of isolation, so creating a video was a good way of keeping our strong connection as a group as well as developing new talents!”

'Honey Honey’, originally recorded by Abba in 1974, shows off a variety of talents – from singing, playing instruments to method acting the role of a bee! Twenty-one members of the group recorded themselves in their own homes and forwarded their contribution to Jo to pull together.

The group hopes the public enjoy their bit of light-hearted entertainment and look forward to performing to the local community again in 2021. New members are always welcome.
