Pupils at Leighton Middle School were bursting with pride after receiving top of the class SATs results.

The school says the SATs results are a testament to the relentless hard work of pupils, unwavering dedication of staff, and the invaluable support of families.

The results above the national average and above the average for schools in Central Bedfordshire.

Claire Vallance, headteacher, said: “We are a very proud middle school with results year of year being incredibly high, topping local and national averages with a large cohort of 150 children or five classes.

"Our pupils haven't just raised the bar – they've leapt over it.

“Not only are these results significantly above the national averages, but they also place us well above the Central Bedfordshire averages – something our whole school community can celebrate.

“These achievements also highlight the incredible strength of our middle school, she added. "These outcomes reflect our nurturing environment, high expectations and a curriculum that enables every child to grow, thrive and succeed.

“As headteacher, I am immensely proud of the collective effort shown by every member of our school community and the progress every child has made. Success like this isn't built overnight – it grows from curiosity being nurtured, resilience being strengthened and potential being unlocked, day by day.

“To our amazing pupils – congratulations. You have shown determination, courage and commitment every step of the way. To our dedicated staff – thank you for inspiring, challenging and believing in every child. Together, we've proven that when we all pull in the same direction, remarkable things happen.

“Here's to celebrating this wonderful milestone – and to the exciting journeys still ahead. Well done, Team Leighton."
