Beds Band Factory was organised by Inspiring Music, the music service run by Central Bedfordshire Council, and featured bands performing across rock, pop, punk and alternative genres.

It was hosted by Redborne Upper School in Ampthill, who performed alongside Alameda Middle School, also based in Ampthill, Woodland Middle School in Flitwick, Henlow Academy and Cedars Upper.

The other winners on the evening were The Husky Tones, who won a grand piano for Alameda Middle after performances of Paranoid by Black Sabbath and Jump by Van Halen.

Speaking following Beds Band Factory, executive member for children’s services at Central Bedfordshire Council Cllr Gareth Mackey said: “Beds Band Factory provides young musicians with a valuable opportunity to perform and collaborate with their peers.

“The event is a strong example of what high-quality music education can achieve, helping students build confidence and teamwork. "We are grateful to Inspiring Music, school staff, and partners for making it possible, and especially to Redborne’s Tech Crew - spanning Years 9 to 13 - for their work behind the scenes to support all the performances.”

Inspiring Music’s next event is the Beds Band Blast Off, being held on Wednesday March 4 - when bands from across Central Bedfordshire perform at The Esquires for a chance to feature at the Buckinghamshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Battle of the Bands Final.
