Theme park to host third annual toy bank weekend in support of Leighton Buzzard children’s charity
A theme park is set to host its third annual Toy Bank Weekend later this month to collect toys to be donated to a children’s charity based in Leighton Buzzard.
Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes will give discounted tickets over the weekend of April 25 and 26 to visitors who bring a new and unused toy for donation to their toy bank on arrival.

Prices for visitors who donate to the toy bank will be reduced to £15 for adults and children.
Toys donated to Gulliver’s Land during the weekend will be passed to the KidsOut charity, which is based at Leighton Buzzard.
The toys will be used in boxes that KidsOut gives to children when they arrive in refuge.
The charity also provides boxes of toys to children on Christmas Day, giving them presents they can open and enjoy on December 25.
KidsOut, founded in 1999, supports disadvantaged children living in women’s refuges across the country.
The charity reports that each year more than 28,000 children, along with their mothers, flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in refuge.
Louise Sherwood from KidsOut said: “The toys donated will help make up a box of ten toys which are age and gender appropriate and help the children transition into their new homes.
“The generosity of all those involved in the toy bank event in previous years has made a huge difference to our work.
“We are so very grateful to Gulliver’s for making this happen, as these acts of kindness really do help change the lives of children who need it most.”
Resort director at Gulliver’s Land Sue Conway added: “KidsOut is a wonderful cause to support, and Toy Bank Weekend has brought in so many lovely toys over the last couple of years for the children who need them most.
“We’re sure this year will be no different, and we are pleased to be able to support a charity that does so much vital work with young people.”
Gulliver’s Land theme park in Milton Keynes features more than 50 rides, attractions, shows and activities for families to enjoy, including a new mini rollercoaster named The Wriggler.
