Saying thank you to carers
A series of amusing little treasures symbolised the value of the work they do and included a paper clip (to help carers hold it all together), a love-heart sweet (to remind them they are loved) and a candle (to recognise how many lives they light up).
In addition more than 100 members of the team at the home – run by a local care provider and The Fremantle Trust – received a hand-made card created by resident Doreen Groves.

Hide AdIt featured a poem penned by fellow residents to express their thanks.
Service manager Clare Hedge gave a speech of appreciation and residents and employees enjoyed delicious home made cakes prepared by the chef. She said: “The residents went out of their way to make the event special and it was very touching.”
Music teacher Jill Neenan joined the get-together to play a selection of songs on the piano.
