The battle at the top is heating up with three matches remaining, with 35 points separating Brickhill and leaders Thame, who are due to meet next Saturday.

Graeme Carter’s side couldn’t have done much more against Oxford 2nds as they beat them by 10 wickets in comprehensive fashion.

Arjun Jhala took 4-27, while bowling partner Ahad Khan took 3-13 to help clear out the top order.

George Humphries cleaned up the tail with 2-27 as Oxford were skittled for 89.

The reply took just over 15 overs, with Mark Nelson (69) and Nick Cadman (12) carrying the bat as Brickhill (92-0) picked up all 25 points.

Brickhill 2nds remain top of Division 4 after seeing off Bletchley.

Reducing the home side for 181, Brickhill (184-3) cruised to the total in 34 overs and open the gap to 22 points.
