Ed sets his sights on a flying start

HATTERS defender Ed Asafu-Adjaye is taking a single-minded approach as Town attempt to win promotion back into the Football League this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Rather than worrying about the spending power of Fleetwood or Stockport County, who have placed former German international and Champions League winner Didi Hamann in charge, Asafu-Adjaye is concentrating solely on matters Luton can affect.

He said: “I don’t think it’s a matter of us worrying about what anyone else is doing.

“We’re big enough and strong enough to realise that it’s about what we can affect and I think we have to get the points on the table as early as we can and keep winning. If we do that the table will hopefully go our way.”
