Town boss John Still doesn’t anticipate bringing former Rangers striker Moses Ashikodi to the club, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 26-year-old played just over an hour for Hatters during their 2-0 pre-season defeat at Dunstable Town last Thursday.

Ashikodi was most recently with Ebbsfleet, scoring two goals in 23 Conference appearances last season.

He has had spells with the likes of Scottish giants Rangers, Gillingham and Watford during his career, that has been blighted with controversy.

Still said: “With Moses, he came in because we weren’t able to use Alex Wall for a little bit and I didn’t want to keep going with Jon Shaw or Mark Cullen.

“I know Moses, he wasn’t doing anything.

“So I said just come and have a game or two, help the youngsters out, but there’s nothing more than that.”
