Hoddle experience proved key for Williams
Being part of the Glenn Hoddle Academy proved quite the learning curve for new Town signing Curtley Williams.
The 24-year-old spent a year with the former England manager’s scheme in Spain afte being released by Ipswich Town in 2008.

About his experience, Williams said: “It was brilliant over there and I can’t thank the Glenn Hoddle Academy staff enough.
“Glenn was very much hands on, while the coaching staff were unbelievable too, Dave Beasant, Graham Rix, Nigel Spackman, John Gorman.
“I’ve learned a lot from all four of them as they are all legends of the game.”
Despite still being relatively young, Williams has had a career packed full of experience as after joining Chelmsford, he then spent time in the South African First Division.
