Lincoln boss Simpson felt his side were well worth a point
Lincoln City manager Gary Simpson felt his side were well worth a point as they held high-flying Hatters to a goalless draw at Sincil Bank on Saturday.
He said: “We put some good performances in, worked extremely hard and created some chances as well. Both sides had a go and we were well worth a point.
“One goal was probably going to win it and, as with all good teams, they got a few corners at the end and you think, ‘this is where they get the points’. But we defended as a team magnificently and the new lads gave us extra impetus.
“We know we need wins, but it’s not for the want of trying. The only luck we’ve had this season is bad luck so if it turns a little, we might just go on a bit of a run which I’m hoping for.”
