Candlelight Blues from ‘The Infamous Rooster Fish’
Leighton Buzzard’s independent events venue, The Crooked Crow Bar is excited to welcome Northamptonshire based Lee Signey aka The Infamous Rooster Fish to the next ‘Candlelight Blues Session’ on Thursday 11th June.

Lee has been playing in bands since the late 70s, he admits some were more successful than others! Whatever the band, the music was always driven by pure passion. He started out with Punk Rock Country Blues and still carries that raw, no-frills energy today, believing that “the blues is life experience, not fancy stage clothes and too many guitars.” At times his vocals take on the air of an unstoppable train chugging down the tracks!
American Blues artist Kent Duchane once described Lee’s sound as “the most original country blues I’ve heard in years” — and that’s exactly what you can expect: honest, gritty and full of soul. He is often joined on stage by harmonica player Jake Jacob but on this occasion, guitarist Rich Miller from Leighton Buzzard will join him on stage adding even more depth to his unmistakable sound.
Lee performs at Blues festivals all around the UK from Scotland, Wales to the South Coast. He has featured on Richard Harris’s ‘Folk and Blues Show’ and on ‘The Narrowboat Sessions’ a couple of times showcasing his great talent. Some recording sessions were done at RAH Recording Studios with songs 'Taxi for Buffalo' and 'Love Interruption'. Other songs you’re likely to hear are ‘Waltz Towards The Lie’, ‘Necrosis’, ‘The Tale of The Infamous Rooster Fish’ and 'Poetic Fallacy'', a song about loss. When Lee isn’t playing the Blues he runs his Northamptonshire building company which mostly renovates old properties.
