Hospice at Home Volunteers Turns 30 in Style!
This year marks 30 years since Hospice at Home Volunteers started, they are a small local non-profit charity, supporting those in Leighton Buzzard and local surroundings.
Hospice at Home Volunteers provide practical, social and emotional support to those with a life limiting illness, their family and carers. This service can be absolutely life changing.
On Sunday, they marked this milestone by having a birthday party for the charity. They were able to celebrate with all their volunteers, local businesses and other organisations who have supported them along the way and also were even lucky enough to be able to invite along a few of the current clients, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Willies Garden Kitchen were kind enough to cater the event with some incredible food which needless to say went down very well indeed, a local business who provide the tastiest food out of their mobile kitchen from Venison Burgers to Pulled Chicken.
Leighton Town Football Club offered up the space to host the event, which was the perfect location and entertainment came in the form of the King himself, Danny Graceland, who had the whole room singing and dancing along to some classics. Thank you so much for giving up your Sunday afternoon to come and join in the celebrations and to entertain the room.
John Canepa, Hospice at Home Volunteer Chairman, extended a huge gratitude to everyone who has been involved with the charity over the years, along with recognising some of our longest running volunteers who have been with the charity over 18 years.
It is not only a fantastic charity to be a part of but also such a rewarding charity, knowing they are making such a difference.
They are so very grateful for everyone who gave up their time to come along and celebrate with them, and those involved in setting up the event.
