Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club league competition

On Wednesday March 25 Leighton Buzzard Photographic Club held their fifth internal league competition of the 2025-26 season.

This was an “open” competition (that is, with no set subject) for prints and projected digital images.

Our independent CACC judge for this competition was Michael Lurie from Pinner Camera Club. He has been taking photographs for over 45 years.

As ever, there was a wide variety of different approaches, styles and genres, as well as an array of different subjects. These included wildlife (birds, dogs, insects, mammals, reptiles), architecture, people, seascapes, landscapes, canals, sunsets, street/candid scenes, still lifes, abstracts, and more. And there was both colour and monochrome.

The top performers on the night were Tim Gould, Paul Stokes, and David Manning ARPS (prints) and Clive Rayment, David Saunders, Terry Godber, and Martin Wood (projected images).

The marks awarded in the league competition count towards the season’s Print and Digital Image Championships.
