St George’s Day concert in Leighton Buzzard to open Bedfordshire Band’s 2026 season

The Bedfordshire Band of the Royal British Legion is preparing to launch its 2026 season with a special St George’s Day Concert at All Saints’ Church, Leighton Buzzard, on Saturday, April 25 at 7pm.

The event marks the band’s first major performance of the year, following the strong community support shown throughout 2025. Last year’s St David’s Day concert, celebrating the patron saint of Wales, drew an enthusiastic audience - and this year’s programme promises to continue that tradition of uplifting, community‑minded music‑making.

Held in the historic surroundings of All Saints’, the concert will feature a varied selection of well‑loved pieces, including The Standard of St George, Ferry Cross the Mersey, Foyle’s War, Best of Bond, Strawberry Fair and The British Legion March, among others.

Tickets can be booked in advance via the QR codes displayed on posters around the town or online at: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/GANB

Tickets will also be available on the door. Doors open at 6.15pm for a 7pm start.

Refreshments will be served during the interval by the dedicated volunteers of All Saints’ Church, who continue to play a valued role in supporting community events. All funds raised from the selling of refreshments go directly to the church.

The Band hopes to welcome a large audience for an evening that celebrates English heritage, local music-making and the spirit of togetherness that defines the Leighton‑Linslade community.

We look forward to seeing you all to help us launch our 2026 season.
