Take a sunset safari and see animals in a new light
Not only will visitors get to see some of the most spectacular species on the planet after normal zoo opening hours, but they will also be treated to an evening of colourful entertainment and delicious food.
The World Food Market on the main lawn will be offering an array of hot and cold delicacies from across the globe, and The Watering Hole will be serving a range of delicious, cooling drinks.

Hide AdAt Safari Base Camp, a team of acrobats will be getting the celebrations underway, alongside a steel pan band, acoustic guitarist and stilt walkers. Visitors can join in the safari spirit with face painting and animal costumes.
Those interested in finding out more about the Zoo’s amazing animals can enjoy a series of fascinating animal talks, demonstrations and feeds, including Tiger Talk, Sea Lion Splash and Birds of the World Live. Keepers will be sharing all sorts of fascinating inside information at the Science Station, while Safari truck rides give visitors guided tours of the Zoo’s Asia section
As the sun sets, settle down to enjoy the stunning views of the Dunstable Downs as live jazz is performed at the Lookout Café, but don’t miss the safari spectacle to finish this special evening on a high.
Guests will be able to take a tour on the zoo’s Safari Truck on a special trip around Passage Through Asia, leaving every half -hour between 7pm and 9pm. Spaces are limited. Departing from the entrance to Passage Through Asia. Tickets on a first come first served basis on the night.
Day admission tickets will not be valid for Sunset Safari. Event tickets are valid for entry from 6pm and cost £25 for adults and £18 for children.
