This weekend: Leighton Buzzard Pride, Community Fun Day, Big Lunch and Music in the Park

It's a bumper weekend on the cards for Leighton Buzzard with four exciting events to enjoy.

The town's Pride celebration will kick off the festivities on Friday (June 5) from 5pm until 9pm, with High Street stalls including Street Food Heroes, traders, community outreach groups, and craft activities. There will also be Rainbow Stilt Walkers and plenty of entertainment.

Following this, on Saturday (June 6) families are invited to Community Fun Day, which celebrates the clubs, groups and societies that "help bring our town to life."

Visit the High Street from 8.30am to 3pm.

Leighton-Linslade Town Council stated: "From sports clubs and art societies to wellbeing groups and community organisations, there will be plenty to discover all in one place.

"It's a great opportunity to explore local activities, meet new people and find ways to get involved in your community."

Meanwhile, Sunday (June 7) will feature two events: The Big Lunch Food Festival and the opening concert of Music in the Park 2026.

The Big Lunch boasts stage performances from the Nova Trio and Funky Fratellos, as well as craft activities, and street theatre including a Chinese Dragon performance.

Head to the High Street from 11am until 4pm where there will be a licensed bar and "around 30 world cuisines".

To round off the weekend, Parson's Close Recreation Ground will see a performance from Chiltern Hills Brass at 3pm – kicking off "another fantastic summer season" of Music in the Park.

Visit the town council website to find out more information about upcoming events.
